Global geopolitical and economic developments affect Africa. They also impact the landscape of commercial and investment arbitrations involving projects in the region. These trends include: increasing East-West geopolitical rivalries, the emerging dynamics of international trade, concerns about climate change and energy security and the expanding role of technology and artificial intelligence in business.
This session will discuss subjects such as:
• Sectors significantly affected by emerging global dynamics (energy, mining, infrastructure, technology, trade and logistics, etc)

• Emerging disputes patterns attributable to changing global dynamics, and

• Stakeholder perspectives: arbitral institutions, in-house counsel, law firm dispute practitioners and arbitrators.
