This panel will explore the procedural, strategic, and institutional dimensions of arbitrating small and mid-sized claims, with particular attention to the Mediterranean context. Despite being an essential part of commercial dispute resolution, such claims often fall outside the spotlight of mainstream arbitration debates.
Key themes will include the cost-efficiency of arbitration compared to domestic litigation, the role of procedural innovation and stakeholder cooperation, and the specific challenges faced in the Mediterranean region—where cultural and economic particularities shape the contours of dispute resolution.
