Presentation

This panel will examine whether DAABs, mediation and multi-tier dispute resolution clauses genuinely facilitate the early and efficient resolution of construction disputes, or whether they merely add cost, delay and procedural complexity before the parties inevitably proceed to arbitration. Drawing on real project experience, the discussion will confront both the promise and the pitfalls of pre-arbitration mechanisms in major construction disputes.

Guest speakers:

- Jens Bürkle, Partner at COMINDIS | Former General Counsel, AREVA
- Louk Korovesis, Delay Expert at Elixa Experts
- Maria-Irene Perruccio Lourie, Senior in-house counsel at WeBuild
