About us

Kilches Legal is a small Austria law firm with a broad range of service skills.

With international Arbitration the main focus of the law firm is commodity trading (food/bio food, steel products, raw materials for steel production, petrochemicals), agency and distribution, construction/joint ventures/infrastructure/public procurement/mining, shareholder disputes.

Ralph Kilches, the founder, is Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators (2016), did several FIDIC and AIPN/AIEN courses, was candidate to the Constitutional Court of Austria. He started his working career with Freshfields, authored a commentary on EC VAT tax law, worked as lecturer with several universities - on competition law, data protection law, copyright law, e-commerce.

From 2010-2020 Ralph was member of the ICC Commission on Arbitration and Mediation.

Ralph is on the CIETAC arbitrator panel.

Beside Austrian law, relevant experience exists in Common Law, German and Swiss Law, OHADA law, French and Italian Law.
