A favorable arbitral award is often only the beginning. This panel will examine the realities of enforcement across jurisdictions, focusing on the New York Convention framework and the growing range of obstacles facing award creditors.
Based on recent, high-stakes enforcement efforts, the discussion will explore sovereign immunity defenses, sanctions constraints, political sensitivities, and strategic considerations when pursuing state and commercial debtors.
