Signature Litigation is delighted to invite you to our upcoming roundtable debate, "Legislating for international arbitration in the Caribbean: the journey so far and the road ahead", as part of this year’s Paris Arbitration Week.

Hosts and of Signature Litigation Paris, as well as guest speaker Bernhard Maier, Counsel at Signature Litigation London, will discuss the landscape of international arbitration in the Caribbean.

Alongside Bernhard, a panel of distinguished guest speakers will engage in candid conversation about the challenges and opportunities for arbitration in and around the Caribbean. The debate will take place under Chatham House Rules and seek to make predictions for the future of arbitration in the region, both under national and international legal frameworks, whether in relation to commercial or investment-treaty based arbitration.

We are pleased to have confirmed the attendance of the following speakers:

• Shan Greer, Chief Executive Officer of the BVI International Arbitration Centre
• Andrés Villegas, Partner at Sygna Partners and former Senior Counsel to the Colombian Ministry of Foreign Affairs
• Marie-Camille Pitton, Secretary-General of the OHADAC Regional Arbitration Centre
• Theominique Nottage, Arbitration Consultant for the Government of The Bahamas

The event will take place on Wednesday, 29 March 2023 between 17:30 and 19:30 CET, mainly via Zoom. We will be able to welcome a small number of participants in person, at Signature Litigation’s offices, 49/51 Avenue George V, 75008, Paris.
