Presentation

Disputes in large infrastructure and energy construction projects continue apace. The roll out by governments and private sponsors alike of (overly) ambitious projects with compressed deadlines, and an expanding list of risk factors, means such projects are high stakes. So too are the disputes arising therefrom.

Our guest speakers will discuss :
• Traditional subject of disputes (delay, disruption, cost overruns, design changes and interface risk) in the context of larger scale projects as well as newer points of conflicts in infrastructure and energy disputes (e.g., supply chain issues and inflation, ESG, building safety and sustainability obligations);
• Strategies for building a better and more convincing case;
• Where counsel go wrong and how to keep the Tribunal onside in longer and larger proceedings.
