Sign inThe PAW In-House Counsel Event - Avoiding arbitration: practical off-ramps and risk-hedging tools
Presentation
The PAW Board is thrilled to host the third edition of the PAW In-House Counsel Event during the tenth edition of Paris Arbitration Week on 24 March 2026 – a dedicated space organized with and for in-house counsel of all levels, in France and abroad.
This exclusive session will take the form of an interactive fireside chat with leading practitioners in international arbitration, who will candidly share insights drawn from their diverse practices. The discussion will focus on how in-house counsel manage disputes from inception, with a focus on strategies to avoid arbitration. The session will explore the chronological steps taken by in-house counsel and how various stakeholders—arbitral institutions, arbitrators, experts, funders and insurers—can support them in this process. The discussion will center on a hypothetical scenario, allowing panelists and audience members to walk through the dispute lifecycle step by step, identifying practical tools and strategies at each stage.
An open Q&A will follow to allow participants to raise questions and share their experience. The event will be held under the Chatham House Rule to foster open, honest and practice-oriented exchanges.
Participation is free of charge.
Please note that this event is restricted to in-house counsel, as well as one representative of each PAW paying Partner.
