Presentation
The Paris Arbitration Week (PAW) Board is proud to present its first-ever Sport Arbitration event, bringing together the world's leading institutions at the intersection of sports, esports, and international arbitration.
This landmark event gathers the most prominent arbitral and regulatory bodies in sport under one roof — the Court of Arbitration for Sport (CAS), the French National Olympic and Sports Committee (CNOSF), the World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO), and the International Governance of Esports and Technology (IGET) — for an afternoon of high-level discussions on the future of dispute resolution in sport.
As the sports world evolves at an unprecedented pace — from the Olympic Movement to the explosive rise of esports — the legal and arbitral frameworks governing these industries are being pushed to their limits. This event offers a unique opportunity to hear from the institutions and practitioners who are shaping the next chapter of sports arbitration, addressing both time-honored challenges and entirely new frontiers.
Programme Highlights
Part 1 — Fireside Chat: CNOSF × CAS
The Evolution of Sports & Olympic Arbitration
A candid, in-depth conversation with leading figures from the CAS and the CNOSF, exploring how sports arbitration has evolved in the context of the Olympic Movement, and what lies ahead for international sports dispute resolution.
Part 2 — Panel: WIPO × IGET
The New Frontiers of Arbitration in Esports
A cutting-edge panel bringing together experts from WIPO, IGET, academia, and practice to examine how arbitration is adapting to the unique challenges of the esports industry — from intellectual property disputes to governance, player rights, and beyond.
