Astrid WESTPHALEN

Member of the Paris Bar and Solicitor of the Senior Courts of England and Wales, Astrid Westphalen is Counsel in Gide's Arbitration & Litigation department in Paris.

Astrid advises and represents companies before international arbitral tribunals in both commercial and investment disputes. She handles a wide range of arbitration proceedings including ad hoc arbitrations (such as UNCITRAL) and those governed by institutional rules (such as ICC, ICSID, SAC and CMAP). Fluent in both French and English, Astrid assists clients in multiple jurisdictions and in diverse industries, particularly those in the construction, insurance-reinsurance, energy, cement sectors.

In 2023, Astrid was elected to the Board of Paris Arbitration Week for a three-year term and is part of the Paris Arbitration Week Organising Committee.
