Aurélie ARENALES DE LA ROCA-HUET

Aurélie is a partner at BFPL Avocats, specializing in international arbitration and litigation, and she is a member of the Paris and California Bars.

She represents French and international clients in complex disputes conducted in French, English, and Spanish, acting for multinationals and States across Europe, Africa, and the Americas. Before joining BFPL Avocats, she practiced at leading international law firms in Paris, Los Angeles, and Latin America, as well as independently in the United States.

She serves as arbitrator and counsel, advising on dispute resolution strategies, managing arbitration proceedings under the main institutional rules, and handling ancillary litigation, including the enforcement and annulment of arbitral awards.

Her sector experience includes construction and infrastructure, energy, defense, aerospace, ICT, port concessions, distribution, finance, pharmaceuticals, and cosmetics.

Aurélie holds leadership roles in legal associations, serving as President of the French Chapter of Women in a Legal World and Co-Chair of the French Chapter of the NYSBA International Section.

Educated in both English and French legal systems in London and Paris (she holds a dual degree in French and English Law from King’s College London and the Sorbonne), and admitted to the Paris and California Bars, Aurélie combines civil and common law expertise with first-hand experience across multiple continents, allowing her to navigate cross-border disputes with a deep understanding of legal and cultural differences.
