Bernd ODöRFER

Bernd Odörfer is a judge at the Federal Court of Justice in Karlsruhe (Germany). He is a member of the First Civil Senate, which is not only responsible for appeals against the declaration of enforceability and annulment of arbitral awards, but also for intellectual property law (except patent law), transport law and brokerage law. Moreover, he is the court's press spokesperson. Bernd Odörfer studied law in Erlangen (Germany), Geneva (Switzerland) and Auckland (New Zealand). After his legal clerkship, he first worked briefly for a law firm in Stuttgart and then for many years in the state of Baden-Württemberg as a public prosecutor, as a judge at various courts and as a lawyer for the judicial administration. In the meantime, he was also seconded to Baden-Württemberg's representation to the Federal Government in Berlin and the Federal Constitutional Court in Karlsruhe.

Bernd Odörfer est juge à la Cour fédérale de justice de Karlsruhe (Germany). Après son stage, il a d'abord travaillé brièvement comme avocat à Stuttgart, puis pendant de nombreuses années pour le Land de Bade-Wurtemberg en tant que procureur et juge auprès de différents tribunaux et en tant que juriste dans l'administration judiciaire. Entre-temps, il a également été détaché à la représentation du Land auprès de l'État fédéral à Berlin et à la Cour constitutionnelle fédérale.
