Carine DENOIT-BENTEUX

Carine DENOIT-BENTEUX is a founding partner of the law firm DBO Avocats.

She practices in family law, personal law and inheritance law.

She began her law studies at the University of Maine in Sarthe, her home region. In her third and fourth years of law school, she transferred to the University of Paris I – Panthéon Sorbonne, and then to Paris II – Panthéon Assas, within the Institute of Criminology. She also holds a postgraduate degree in tort law from the University of Maine.

She passed the CRFPA entrance exam at the University of Paris I and was sworn in on March 15, 2000 at the Paris Court of Appeal.

Carine DENOIT-BENTEUX began her career in criminal law, working alongside Pierre-Olivier SUR, former President of the Paris Bar. She then very quickly shifted her focus to family and inheritance law and has practiced exclusively in this area since founding her firm in 2005.

Holder of the university diploma in mediation from the Institute for Mediation and Negotiation Training (IFOMENE) of the Catholic Institute of Paris and practitioner of collaborative family law, Carine DENOIT-BENTEUX prioritizes, in her practice, bringing the parties together and concluding agreements.

She is registered with the Paris Court of Appeal and the National Center for Mediation of Lawyers (CNMA) and therefore regularly acts as a mediator at the request of her colleagues or magistrates, particularly in property law disputes.

Carine DENOIT-BENTEUX has been a member of the Board of Directors of the Institute of Family and Heritage Law (IDFP) since 2017 and has been its vice-president since 2023.

She is also a member of the Board of Directors of the Center for Arbitration of Family Disputes (CALIF), which brings together highly experienced family professionals, lawyers, notaries, and academics. Carine Denoit-Benteux holds an arbitration certificate from the University of Law and Political Science of Paris-Saclay and can therefore act as an arbitrator to resolve property disputes as an alternative to bringing cases before a state court.

She is also a member of the French Association of Collaborative Law Practitioners (AFPDC), the Association of European Mediators (AME) and the National Association of Specialist Lawyers and Practitioners in Family, Personal and Estate Law (ANASPDF).
