Carlos GOMEZ GUTIERREZ


Associate

Carlos Gomez Gutierrez is an associate in the International Arbitration practice of the Paris office. He represents clients in commercial and investment arbitrations concerning complex disputes, primarily focused on the engineering and construction of large energy & infrastructure projects.

Carlos holds an MSc in Construction Law and Dispute Resolution at King's College London, and is qualified as a Solicitor of the Senior Courts of England and Wales, and as an Abogado at the Madrid Bar. He is also admitted to practice at the Paris Bar as a Registered European Lawyer.

Carlos' active participation in the French Society of Construction Law, of which he is a co-founder and the current Secretary General (after having co-chaired the Dispute Resolution Committee for two years), underpins his dedication to the industry, ensuring that the legal services he provides are both innovative and grounded in a deep understanding of construction law dynamics.

Before joining Mayer Brown, Carlos worked at City law firms and a top-30 global contractor.

In addition to his native Spanish, Carlos is fluent in English and has professional proficiency in French.
