Cecilia CARRARA

Cecilia Carrara’s main field of practice is national and international arbitration, acting as counsel and as arbitrator. She also represents clients in arbitration-related proceedings in front of the national courts, such as recognition and enforcement proceedings of arbitral awards.
Cecilia has a significant expertise in disputes with a transnational dimension, in particular in the fields of post M&A, governance/strategic risks, directors liability, commercial contracts as well as EPC contracts, investments and concessions. She has a specific focus on German speaking countries and Eastern Europe.
Cecilia is Committee Liaison Officer of the IBA Arbitration Committee.
She was a member of the ICC International Court of Arbitration from July 2015 until January 2020 and is currently a member of the LCIA Court and of the Arbitration Council of the Milan Arbitration Chamber.
Cecilia is a member of the Beirat of the German Arbitration Institute (DIS) as well as of the International Advisory Board of the Vienna International Arbitral Centre (VIAC).
Cecilia is a member of the ICSID Panel of Conciliators designated by Italy.
As from March 2026, Cecilia is a member of the Arbitration Council of the German Arbitration Institute (DIS).
