Cour d'appel de Paris
Daniel Barlow est président de la chambre commerciale internationale de la cour d’appel de Paris (CCIP-CA). Il est également le référent de cette cour pour la procédure civile. Il exerçait auparavant les fonctions de premier vice-président au tribunal judiciaire de Nanterre dont il coordonnait le pôle civil et présidait la première chambre, spécialisée en droit de la propriété intellectuelle, droit de la concurrence, droit des sociétés, droit international privé et droit de la presse. Son expérience au sein de la magistrature l’a notamment conduit à exercer à la Cour de cassation, d’abord en qualité de conseiller référendaire (2011-2013), puis comme secrétaire général de la première présidence (2013-2015), avant d’être nommé secrétaire général du Conseil supérieur de la magistrature (2015-2019). En poste à la Direction des affaires civiles du ministère de la justice (2003-2011), il a été chef du bureau du droit commercial et participa, à ce titre, à l’élaboration de nombreux textes français et européens de droit économique.
Daniel Barlow is the President of the International Commercial Chamber of the Paris Court of Appeal (ICCP-CA). He is also the court’s referent for civil procedure. Formerly First Vice-President of the Court of Nanterre, he coordinated the Civil Division of that court and presided over its First Chamber, specializing in intellectual property law, competition law, company law, private international law and press law. His judicial experience led him to the Court of Cassation, first as a conseiller référendaire (2011-2013), then as Secretary General of the first presidency (2013-2015), before being appointed Secretary General of the Conseil supérieur de la magistrature (2015-2019). At the Civil Affairs Division of the Ministry of Justice (2003-2011), he was Head of the Commercial Law Department and participated in the drafting of numerous French and European economic law texts.

Colloque de l'Association française d’arbitrage et de Paris, Place d’Arbitrage, hébergé par Sorbonne Arbitrage, sur le projet de réforme du droit français de l'arbitrage, qui se tiendra en deux parties : la première la matin, la seconde l'après-midi.\r\n

Après plusieurs mois de travail, le groupe de travail de réforme du droit français de l’arbitrage a rendu son rapport au Ministre de la justice qui a annoncé une mise en œuvre rapide de la réforme proposée.\r\n

Ce rapport comporte de nombreuses innovations, à commencer par la structure du droit de l’arbitrage qui serait désormais rassemblée dans un code de l’arbitrage autonome.\r\n
\r\n
Fort de 146 articles et comportant 40 propositions de réforme, parmi lesquelles formalisation de « principes directeurs de l’arbitrage », l’absorption des règles de l’arbitrage interne par celles de l’arbitrage international dans un corps unique de règles, le renforcement de l’efficacité de l’arbitrage à travers l’intervention structurée et claire des tribunaux judiciaires français, l’extension du champ de l’arbitrabilité à des domaines moins familiers, ce code de l’arbitrage sera présenté par ses auteurs, et débattu avec des praticiens de la matière lors d’un colloque exceptionnel.\r\n

Pour ce moment historique, l’Association Française d’Arbitrage et « Paris, place d’arbitrage » s’unissent pour l’occasion, à l’invitation de Sorbonne Arbitrage, pour exposer et discuter ce projet, dans une journée qui promet d’être dense.\r\n
