David COYNE
David Coyne is a leading forensic expert witness in critical path and delay analysis, regularly testifying in high-profile construction disputes before respected international tribunals. Renowned for his ability to simplify complex issues, he delivers clear, compelling expert evidence that supports tribunals and clients in making well-informed decisions.
A triple-chartered Engineer (U.K., European, and Marine) with over fifteen years of global experience, David has advised on major projects spanning power generation, large industrial works, oil and gas facilities, offshore wind farms, rail, airports, transport infrastructure, commercial developments, and hospitals.
He began his career leading engineering research at Cambridge and Oxford universities, before gaining extensive hands-on project management experience across every stage of the project lifecycle — from tendering and design to construction, supervision, and management. After establishing his reputation as a delay expert in London, he is now based in Paris, with a career that has taken him across Ireland, the U.K., mainland Europe, the Middle East, Africa, and Asia.
David holds degrees from some of the world’s most prestigious institutions: a BEng in Civil Engineering from University College Dublin, an MSc in Geotechnical Engineering from Imperial College London, and an MSc in Construction Law and Dispute Resolution from King’s College London. He has also completed advanced studies in Disruption Analysis at MIT.
