Eveli LUME

Dr. Eveli Lume is a partner in SPB's International Dispute Resolution Practice. She is an international arbitration specialist with a practice exclusively focused on complex international disputes. Eveli is recognised as one of the leading practitioners in the Lexology Arbitration Index.

Eveli is instructed in high-stakes international arbitrations, including both investor-state and commercial international arbitrations under the auspices of leading arbitration institutions. Eveli is also experienced in enforcement and setting-aside matters before national courts.

An Estonian national, educated and admitted to practice in Estonia and Germany, and regularly working in English, German, Estonian and Russian, her practice is uniquely international. She acts for clients with a broad geographic scope, including Eastern European, Central Asian and African states and state-owned entities, as well as private sector companies throughout Europe and beyond. Clients direct Eveli to act for them in arbitrations across a broad range of sectors, including in the energy, water, construction, mining, telecommunications, food and ceramic sectors. She is experienced in litigating cases under the rules of the International Centre for Settlement of Investment Disputes (ICSID), the UNCITRAL Arbitration Rules, the International Chamber of Commerce (ICC), the Stockholm Chamber of Commerce (SCC) and the rules of the German Institution of Arbitration (DIS).

Eveli also sits as an arbitrator. In December 2023, the Republic of Estonia appointed Eveli to the Panel of Arbitrations of the International Centre for Settlement of Investment Disputes (ICSID), the world’s leading institution for handling investor-state disputes.
