Funke ADEKOYA SAN

Funke Adekoya SAN is an independent arbitrator and litigation consultant, with a focus on commercial transactions in the infrastructure and construction, energy and natural resources sectors, in addition to disputes resulting from investments in other sectors.

She is a Chartered Arbitrator of the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators, and in addition to appearing as counsel, she is often appointed either as sole, party appointed or chair of the arbitral panel in disputes in institutional arbitration proceedings in both commercial and investment disputes under the ICSID, ICC and LCIA rules and ad hoc proceedings under the UNCITRAL Rules.

In addition to her listing on the panel of Arbitrators at ICSID as well as the panels of many other international arbitration institutions, she is a member of the Court of the Singapore International Arbitration Centre as well as that of the Mauritius Arbitration Centre [MARC].

She has also provided expert witness evidence on Nigerian law issues before the courts of England, the United States, Turkey and Italy.
