Irina SUATEAN

Irina Suătean is a Senior Associate in the Arbitration and Litigation team of Filip & Company, based in Bucharest, Romania. She has extensive experience in both commercial and investment arbitration, under various arbitration rules, such as the ICC, ICSID, AAA as well as ad hoc arbitrations. In addition to arbitration, she regularly advises clients in proceedings before foreign courts as well as commercial and administrative disputes. Stemming from her experience with sports disputes, she has also been involved in complex corporate transactions in the sports sector, in particular in the tennis industry.

She is the ICC YAAF Regional Representative for Europe and Central Asia (2024-2026 mandate) and a member of the Board of the Young Romanian Arbitration Practitioners association (YRAP). She frequently speaks at and organizes arbitration conferences and events. She is also a member of the Europe Committee of the Campaign for Greener Arbitration, ArbCEE, Young EFILA, Young ICCA and Young ITA.

Irina teaches Administrative Law at the Faculty of Law, University of Bucharest and is currently pursuing her PhD on public contracts at the same university.
