Julian DELAMER
Julian Delamer is an Executive Vice President at Compass Lexecon, based in London and Buenos Aires. A financial economist with over 20 years of experience, Mr. Delamer specializes in providing economic, regulatory, and damages expert opinions in international arbitrations and commercial litigations. He is recognized as a Thought Leader in Arbitration by Who’s Who Legal.
Mr. Delamer has contributed to more than 80 investment and commercial arbitration cases, including over 30 instances as a testifying expert in cases conducted under ICSID, UNCITRAL, LCIA, SCC, PCA, and ICC rules. In addition to his arbitration work, Mr. Delamer is an active participant in commercial litigations, and has provided written and oral testimony in landmark UK cases such as: The Republic of Mozambique v. Credit Suisse and Others (High Court of Justice) and Royal Mail Group Limited v. DAF Trucks Limited and Others (Competition Appeal Tribunal).
His expertise spans a wide array of industries, including oil and gas (upstream, midstream, and downstream), electricity (generation and distribution, both conventional and renewable), water and sewerage, telecommunications, airports, highway toll concessions, manufacturing, hotels, casinos, real estate, gaming, sports, luxury goods, and IT. He has also participated in multiple construction arbitrations.
Mr. Delamer's work has involved assets in regions worldwide, including Argentina, Bahrain, Belgium, Benin, Bolivia, Brazil, Canada, Chile, Costa Rica, Croatia, Dominican Republic, Ecuador, Egypt, Gabon, Georgia, Germany, Ghana, Greece, Guatemala, Hungary, Italy, Kuwait, Luxembourg, Peru, Poland, Russia, Spain, South Africa, Trinidad and Tobago, the United States, Ukraine, the United Kingdom, and Venezuela.
He has also provided consultancy services in areas such as M&A valuation advisory, State Aid investigations, and regulated tariff reviews.
Mr. Delamer holds an MBA from the London Business School, a B.A. in Economics, and a postgraduate degree in Corporate Finance.
