Khawar Qureshi KC is widely recognised as one of the world’s leading advocates in the fields of International Arbitration, Commercial Litigation and Public International Law being described as a "very powerful advocate" who is able to "effortlessly" navigate different legal concepts and jurisdictions. He has acted for or against more than 60 States including the USA, Russian Federation, Argentina, India and Kenya in ICSID, UNCITRAL, LCIA, ICC, SIAC matters and represented States and parties from all over the world on the ICJ, Treaty negotiations and State and Diplomatic Immunity issues – often in high profile and politically sensitive matters.

Khawar was called to the English Bar in 1990 and was subsequently appointed to the UK Govt "A" Panel Treasury Counsel advising and representing the UK Government. He became a QC in 2006 and has appeared in many commercial law, arbitration and Judicial Review matters before the English Courts over the last 30 years. In that time, he taught Commercial and International law at Cambridge University, the LSE and Kings College London and was also a Visiting Professor in Commercial; Law at the University of London.
