Madeleine Thörn is Deputy Secretary General and Head of Operations at SCC Arbitration Institute. She leads the operational team responsible for administering approximately 200 cases annually, involving commercial and investment disputes with parties from around 40 jurisdictions.

Madeleine Thörn is actively engaged in several arbitration organisations. She serves as a member of the Stockholm International Hearing Centres (SIHC) Advisory Board, is a member of the Institutions Task Force for the Campaign for Greener Arbitrations, and is part of the nomination committee for Young Arbitrators Sweden (YAS). Madeleine Thörn is frequently engaged as a speaker to share her view of the latest trends in international arbitration.

Prior to joining the SCC, Madeleine Thörn was a practicing lawyer and associate at both a law firm specialising in dispute resolution and an international law firm in Stockholm, Sweden. Her work focused on national and international arbitration as well as commercial court disputes, spanning various industries and legal areas. Earlier in her career, Madeleine Thörn served as a drafting law clerk at the Supreme Court of Sweden and as a law clerk at Solna District Court in Stockholm, Sweden.
