Maurice HABANBO

Director, Procurement & Contract Management, Data Centre, France
Turner & Townsend

Maurice leads Turner & Townsend's procurement and contract management activities in France, with nearly two decades of experience delivering major capital projects across Europe and the Middle East, particularly industrial and hyperscale data centre programmes. He specialises in shaping procurement and contracting strategies that safeguard project bankability, maintain commercial equilibrium, and minimise the risk of cost overruns, delays, and disputes during execution.

Beyond contract formation, Maurice plays a central role in the execution phase of complex projects, leading FIDIC Engineer and contract administration teams, overseeing change management, claims evaluation, contemporaneous record strategies, taking-over processes, and the optimisation of project management organisations in general. His work focuses on stabilising contract administration, structuring defensible determinations, and managing major EOT and quantum matters to ensure commercial and technical decisions remain aligned under high pressure delivery conditions.

He works closely with clients to structure robust delivery frameworks, align commercial models with technical realities, and establish governance systems that support predictable outcomes on fast paced construction programmes. His approach centres on anticipating pressure points in design, procurement, and construction and translating them into contract mechanisms that promote clarity, accountability, and balanced risk allocation, reinforced by hands on experience in high stakes delivery environments, where he has seen how early decisions can either prevent or precipitate conflict.

With an engineering background and an MBA in Project Management, Maurice brings a delivery grounded perspective to the commercial and operational dynamics that shape data centre construction.
