Nevena IVANOVA

Nevena is a French qualified lawyer specialized in litigation and enforcement of judgments and arbitral awards. She has in-depth expertise in successfully pursuing claims against sovereigns and semi-sovereign entities, as well as in resolving commercial and civil disputes. Nevena has also experience with liquidations of companies and individuals and assisting bankruptcy trustees or administrators in recovering assets of debtors located in France or abroad.

Before joining Omni Bridgeway in 2020, Nevena practised law for 10 years with a French boutique law firm, Bonifassi Avocats, where she specialised in fraud, insolvency, asset recovery and international private law litigation. During her work as a French lawyer, she gained invaluable experience in related court proceedings regarding the enforcement of EU and non-EU judgments and arbitral awards and also regarding the ex-parte authorisations and challenge of various asset attachments, including real estate. Nevena also has experience with international sanctions and the attachment of ‘frozen’ assets and finding the way to unfreeze them.

Nevena holds a master’s degree in International Private Law from University of Paris II Pantheon-Assas, France, and a master’s degree in Litigation, Arbitration and Alternative Dispute Resolution from University of Paris II Pantheon-Assas, France. She also obtained a certificate “English for Law” from University of New South Wales, Sydney, Australia.

Nevena is fluent in French, English and Bulgarian.
