Myriam SEERS

Myriam represents clients in a wide range of litigation and arbitration matters. Her practice focuses in particular on cross-border disputes before Canadian courts and international arbitral tribunals. She practised for 14 years in the litigation departments of major full-service law firms Torys and McMillan before joining a boutique international disputes firm in 2021 and Naymark LLP in 2026.

Myriam is the immediate past Chair of the ICC Canada Arbitration Committee. She has substantial experience acting in proceedings before Canadian courts to enforce or set aside arbitral awards, or to enforce foreign judgments.

She has appeared before the Supreme Court of Canada, Ontario and federal courts at all levels, international and domestic arbitral tribunals in arbitrations administered by most major arbitral institutions, and various administrative tribunals.

Myriam is ranked Band 2 in Dispute Resolution: Arbitration by Chambers Global and Chambers Canada, as "Consistently Recommended" for Commercial Arbitration by Lexpert, and as “Recommended” by the global publication Lexology Index: Arbitration. Clients surveyed by Chambers remarked that Myriam is “incredibly bright”, that “her ability to absorb, digest and communicate complicated materials in a short time and concisely is extraordinary”, and that she “possesses a deep understanding of the Canadian arbitration landscape”. Lexology states that Myriam is “truly excellent” and has “a remarkable reputation for her work on large, complex international arbitration proceedings”.

She has conducted hearings, including cross-examining witnesses, in English, French and Spanish. She also works in Portuguese and Italian.
