Stefan HOFFMANN
Stefan’s practice focusses on dispute resolution and arbitration both domestically and internationally. He advises banks, investors and developers in relation to complex disputes and the enforcement of their interests before state courts as well as arbitral tribunals.
His main focus is on disputes in the areas of banking and finance, joint ventures, M&A as well as engineering and construction of industrial plants and machinery.
He has an distinguished track record as counsel and arbitrator in energy-related disputes, especially regarding offshore and onshore wind including energy supply contracts.
Stefan advises across the entire lifecycle of a project from development to construction through to completion and operation, including Claim Manangement and Post-M&A conflicts. He is also regularly engaged to negotiate and settle claims in relation project contracts based on international standards such as FIDIC).
Stefan has also recently been awarded “The Best Lawyers in Germany” in the field of arbitration / dispute resolution / mediation by Best Lawyers in cooperation with renowned German business magazine Handelsblatt.
In addition, Stefan Hoffmann and his team received special praise in the Juve-Handbook 2020/2021: “Recently, positive voices – also from abroad – have been accumulating – about their sector-specific litigation practice in Hamburg, with “great knowledge of onshore and offshore wind projects”, “a high degree of professionalism, clarity and integrity” and “recognisable efforts to keep fees at reasonable levels”.
