Steven Bainbridge is Co-Managing Shareholder at Greenberg Traurig Limited (UAE) – Head of Sports & Entertainment (Middle East) and Co-Chair of the Global Sports Group. Steve has deep experience in the sports and entertainment field, advising clients on a wide array of transactions underpinning the sector, from governance issues to athlete endorsement agreements, anti-ambush marketing strategies, player contracts, broadcasting, merchandising and licensing agreements, disciplinary issues, gaming regulatory and various entertainment-specific venue management arrangements. He regularly advises foreign law firms, individuals, corporate entities, governing bodies and institutions on matters spanning motorsports, horseracing, triathlons, MMA, cycling, golf, tennis, cricket, rugby, football and gaming, among others. Steve is a CAS arbitrator and was previously a World Athletics Disciplinary Tribunal member for 5 years. With significant top-tier law firm experience in both North America and the Far East prior to moving to the Middle East, Steve is a frequent contributor to print and online media as a thought leader in these fields and he has been recognized by Chambers Global, Legal 500 and Who’s Who Legal.
