Thomas KARALIS

Thomas specialises in arbitration with extensive experience running large, high-value and technically complex commercial disputes. He has a broad range of experience with major institutional rules and ad hoc arbitration, as well as with the English courts and internationally.

Qualified in both common and civil law jurisdictions, Thomas helps clients navigate disputes with a strong international element. He has particular experience on cross-border issues of jurisdiction and injunctive relief through both the Courts and Emergency Arbitrator proceedings and has represented and guided clients in a significant number of mediations.

Thomas advises a range of global clients, especially in the energy (including upstream oil and gas), resources, and the automotive sectors. He has a strong track record advising on disputes arising out of supply contracts, JV and shareholder agreements, and post-M&A transactions.

Thomas is qualified in both England & Wales and Hong Kong (currently not practising) and is also admitted to the Paris Bar.
