TJ Auner is a partner at Jones Day and focuses his practice on high-stakes construction disputes. TJ has represented owners and contractors in disputes involving major transportation, energy, and infrastructure projects. In addition to litigating in U.S. courts, TJ has represented clients through merits hearings under the auspices of various arbitral institutions, including the International Centre for Dispute Resolution (ICDR), International Chamber of Commerce (ICC), International Centre for Settlement of Investment Disputes (ICSID), and London Court of International Arbitration (LCIA).

Recently, TJ successfully represented a contractor in an ICC arbitration involving the construction of a multibillion-dollar LNG (liquefied natural gas) facility; defended against a temporary restraining order in aid of arbitration in New York state court; obtained emergency relief in aid of arbitration in federal court requiring the preservation of assets; and secured multiple interim awards under the AAA emergency procedures, including fee awards.

TJ regularly speaks and writes on issues of interest to the construction industry.

Following law school, TJ served as a judicial clerk for Judge A. Joe Fish of the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of Texas in Dallas, Texas.
