Tomas VAAL

Tomas Vaal is the Secretary General of the Netherlands Arbitration Institute (NAI). In his former role at the NAI, as Director Business Operations, Tomas has been instrumental in enhancing operational efficiency and digital transformation, including implementing secure, efficient, and paperless case management systems and the NAI Arbitration Platform. Before joining the NAI, Tomas was an attorney-at-law at one of the largest Dutch international arbitration practices, where he focused on construction disputes. His extensive legal background and leadership experience have been pivotal in promoting NAI's high-quality dispute resolution services both in the Netherlands and internationally. Tomas is committed to raising awareness about the benefits of arbitration and continuously improving the quality of NAI's services based on user needs.
