About us
Depuis plus de 70 ans, le Comité français de l’arbitrage contribue au rayonnement en France et à l’étranger de la conception française de l’arbitrage international. Cette conception repose sur l’idée que l’arbitrage est le mode normal de règlement des litiges du commerce international et se manifeste par la confiance sans faille que lui accordent depuis de nombreuses années le législateur et les juridictions françaises.
Issu d’une initiative de juristes, le premier Président en a été le Professeur Batiffol auquel ont succédé Maître Carabiber, le Président Prevet, Maître Jean Robert, Maître Bertrand Moreau, Maître Jean-Louis Delvolvé et Maître Yves Derains, Maître Philippe Leboulanger, Me Carole Malinvaud, Me Laurent Jaeger, Me Philippe Pinsolle et Me Jérôme Ortscheidt.
Le Comité publie depuis 1955 la Revue de l’arbitrage, qui est la publication de référence en langue française. Le Comité français de l’arbitrage est aussi régulièrement consulté par les pouvoirs publics sur les questions intéressant l’arbitrage, comme cela a notamment été le cas lors de la réforme de 2011 dont il a été l’initiateur. Il est aussi proche du Barreau de Paris qu’il conseille sur des problématiques spécifiques à l’arbitrage.
Société savante, le Comité rassemble avocats, magistrats, universitaires, juristes et entreprises utilisatrices de l’arbitrage, qui contribuent en toute indépendance à ses travaux. Le Comité français de l’arbitrage organise des conférences trimestrielles, des ateliers de pratique arbitrale et un colloque annuel. Ces différents événements sont l’occasion pour nos membres de débattre de sujets d’actualité et de nourrir la réflexion sur les avancées souhaitables en matière d’arbitrage.
Le Comité français de l’arbitrage s’attache également à créer des liens entre spécialistes de l’arbitrage de différents horizons et générations, notamment par le biais de ses relations privilégiées avec des sociétés savantes sœurs dans différents pays, et avec l'IAI et le CFA40, qui sont deux de ses composantes.

Depuis plus de 70 ans, le Comité français de l’arbitrage contribue au rayonnement en France et à l’étranger de la conception française de l’arbitrage international. Cette conception repose sur l’idée que l’arbitrage est le mode normal de règlement des litiges du commerce international et se manifeste par la confiance sans faille que lui accordent depuis de nombreuses années le législateur et les juridictions françaises.\r\n
\r\n Issu d’une initiative de juristes, le premier Président en a été le Professeur Batiffol auquel ont succédé Maître Carabiber, le Président Prevet, Maître Jean Robert, Maître Bertrand Moreau, Maître Jean-Louis Delvolvé et Maître Yves Derains, Maître Philippe Leboulanger, Me Carole Malinvaud, Me Laurent Jaeger, Me Philippe Pinsolle et Me Jérôme Ortscheidt. \r\n
\r\n Le Comité publie depuis 1955 la Revue de l’arbitrage, qui est la publication de référence en langue française. Le Comité français de l’arbitrage est aussi régulièrement consulté par les pouvoirs publics sur les questions intéressant l’arbitrage, comme cela a notamment été le cas lors de la réforme de 2011 dont il a été l’initiateur. Il est aussi proche du Barreau de Paris qu’il conseille sur des problématiques spécifiques à l’arbitrage.\r\n
\r\n Société savante, le Comité rassemble avocats, magistrats, universitaires, juristes et entreprises utilisatrices de l’arbitrage, qui contribuent en toute indépendance à ses travaux.
