The event "Everything You Always Wanted to Know About Experts but Never Dared to Ask" will explore the increasing pivotal role experts play in arbitration with a focus on the different procedural pitfalls and traps that all stakeholders in the proceedings may face, and of course on the best practices in the field. Organised and moderated by both experts and counsels, the event aims to deepen the understanding of expert involvement in arbitration, from different perspectives including that of arbitrators and institutions. Participants will gain insights into various expert roles, such as single-joint and party-appointed experts, and innovative practices like hot-tubbing. The conference will also address crucial issues of expert independence, diversity, and equality in expert selection, fostering a dynamic dialogue among attendees. Through engaging discussions and interactive sessions, this session will seek to promote best standards and inclusivity within expert panels, with the desire to enrich the arbitration process.
