Anna GUILLARD SAZHKO
Anna is a multilingual independent arbitrator and counsel based in Paris. Over 15-year career, she has gained extensive experience in international arbitrations conducted under various rules, including ad hoc, ICC, ICSID, ISTAC, UNCITRAL, SIAC and SCC rules. Her practice is particularly focused on Ukraine, Central and Eastern Europe (CEE) and Turkic regions, where she has successfully handled numerous high-stakes cases. Before establishing her practice, she sharpened her skills at leading international law firms in Paris and Kyiv.
Her expertise is enriched by multicultural background and deep understanding of various national legal systems, including English, French, Kazakh, Kyrgyz, Turkish, Ukrainian and Uzbek laws. Her wealth of experience spans complex investment and commercial arbitration cases, providing her with a nuanced and a cross-border perspective.
In her capacity as an arbitrator, Anna has served as a sole arbitrator, co-arbitrator and presiding arbitrator in more than twenty cases, with proceedings conducted in English and Russian.
She is an active contributor to the international arbitration community. She co-founded and serve as Co-President of the Turkic Arbitration Association, is a Board Member of the Ukrainian Arbitration Association, a Member of Working Group on Artificial Intelligence in Arbitration at the Paris International Arbitration Chamber (CAIP), a Member of the VIAC Legal Tech Think Tank and a member of the Supervisory Board of the International Court of Arbitration at the CCI in Kyrgyzstan.
Anna regularly speak and publish on arbitration-related topics and have participated as a speaker and moderator in more than 50 conferences and webinars across Austria, Azerbaijan, Georgia, France, Latvia, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Poland, Türkiye, Uzbekistan and Ukraine.
Anna was named Global Elite Thought Leader in Arbitration by the Lexology Index (2026). She has been featured in Lexology (formerly Who’s Who Legal) Arbitration lists as a Future Leader for 2021, 2022, 2023 and 2025. In the WWL 2023 rankings and the Lexology Index 2026, she was recognised among the Most Highly Regarded arbitration practitioners in the Europe, Middle East, and Africa region. In addition, she was recognised as Lawyer of the Year - France for Arbitration by the Lexology Client Choice Awards 2021.
