Ms. Huawei Sun has about 26 years of experience in international arbitration and cross-border dispute resolution. Described as “absolutely first-rate, incredibly astute” Huawei has extraordinary experience in managing complex and multi-jurisdictional disputes in a wide range of areas, including emerging areas such as cryptocurrency, data security and sanctions. She is particularly well-recognised in the field of international investment arbitration, with significant experience from a number of cases and hearings involving China. Huawei has achieved the first victory for China in Ansung Housing Co., Ltd. v. People’s Republic of China and is currently representing both Chinese investors and the Chinese government in investor-State matters and proceedings. Huawei has been consistently ranked high in legal directories.

Huawei is also an experienced arbitrator, having heard over 70 international and domestic cases as presiding arbitrator, co-arbitrator or sole arbitrator.

Huawei is an HKIAC Council Member, a member of the HKIAC Proceedings Committee, a former member of the HKIAC Appointments Committee and Vice-Chair of China International Investment Arbitration Forum.
