Paul-Alain is a Senior Director in Ankura’s Construction, Disputes and Advisory Practice in Paris. He provides tailored solutions to clients engaged in construction projects across all sectors of industry.

Paul-Alain is an expert in contract and insurance claims, with a focus on Extension of Time and Delay in Start-Up claims, as well as dispute resolution and project advisory. He has worked on a wide range of projects, including energy (hydropower plants, biomass plants, nuclear plants, gas plants, and renewable energy projects), buildings, infrastructure (airports, harbors, roads, railways, and hospitals), oil and gas, urban development, and IT. He develops analysis strategies based on industry best practices, combining a deep understanding of each project’s key phases with a pragmatic and systematic approach.

Paul-Alain provides advice on programming, project management, and claims negotiations on large construction projects. He brings expertise in Critical Path Method (CPM) scheduling, forensic delay analysis, recovery and acceleration plans, and claim rebuttal analysis. He is proficient with Primavera P6 and MS Project.

Paul-Alain has produced expert reports on delay matters for litigation and has assisted appointed experts in arbitration under UNCITRAL, DIAC, ICC, and LCIA rules.

As a planning manager for the construction of “Ligne 18” of the Grand Paris Express project and a project manager for the French Red Cross, Paul-Alain has demonstrated his ability to manage complex projects. His experience spans multiple regions, including Europe, the Middle East, Asia, Africa, and Central and South America.

Prior to Ankura, Paul-Alain has worked for an international insurance broker preparing claims for insurance recovery under policies such as Delay in Start-up or Construction All risk. He also worked with international consulting firms, leading major engagements by developing and providing solutions tailored to clients’ needs and objectives.
