Shamaral Maichiev serves as the Chairman of the International Arbitration Court at the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Kyrgyzstan, a position he has held since his election in 2007.

As an arbitrator, Shamaral Maichiev has participated in over 20 arbitration cases involving complex issues of international trade, mineral rights, enterprise leasing, and other sectors, with parties from various countries.

Shamaral's legal career is extensive: from 1991 to 2007, he led a law firm, and prior to that, from 1987 to 1992, he worked as a research fellow at the Institute of Philosophy and Law of the Academy of Sciences of the Kyrgyz Republic. His research has contributed to the fields of public administration and constitutional law.

With 35 years of specialized experience, Shamaral's expertise is not only practiced but also shared through publications in legal journals. His academic journey has taken him to the University of Oklahoma and the New York Institute for practicing lawyers to study commercial law, as well as to the International University of Florida for training in business valuation, business administration, further enriching his deep understanding of legal science and practice.

Shamaral was elected to the Kyrgyz Republic's Judicial Selection Council by Parliament, where he served as chairman from 2011 to 2017. Shamaral has been awarded the titles "Excellence in Justice of the Kyrgyz Republic," "Excellence in Education of the Kyrgyz Republic," and "Meritorious Lawyer of the Kyrgyz Republic".
